I primarily practice from an integrated psychodynamic and relational foundation.

I believe that therapy can foster resilience and tap into one's innate capacity for self-healing. My goal is to create a safe and empathic environment where clients feel supported as they work toward their personal goals. I’m here to guide and support you as you navigate the journey of life, helping you move toward meaningful change and growth. My approach to therapy includes client-centered interventions, such as cognitive therapy techniques, mindfulness practices when appropriate, and other evidence-based treatments.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with additional training in several therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Equine-Assisted Therapy (EAGALA model), and introductory training in Somatic Experiencing (SE).

With over twenty years of experience working with children, families, adolescents, and young adults, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients address a wide range of concerns. My expertise includes treating trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and mood and anxiety disorders.

Education & Background

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bucknell University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. My career as a therapist began in a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents in Maryland. After gaining valuable experience there, I moved to Chicago, where I provided early intervention therapeutic support to young children and families at St. Vincent de Paul Center.

I also had the opportunity to work with children and families in the Denver area, where I was employed by Denver Health Hospital in a school-based mental health program. Additionally, I worked at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore as an outpatient mental health therapist, specializing in trauma treatment for several years. After moving to Chicago, I have held positions as a therapist at Compass Health Center followed by Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge.
