I believe that my clients are the true experts on themselves, and I see my role as one of guidance—helping them find their own solutions to the challenges they face.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from relational, psychodynamic, and strengths-based perspectives, as well as cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques. I’m also deeply interested in the mind/body connection and how physical symptoms can be linked to psychological issues. I encourage my clients to explore this connection and how they can use it to their advantage in healing.

As a certified yoga instructor, I incorporate body and breath work into my practice to help clients better cope with physical pain, as well as depression and anxiety. This holistic approach can be a powerful tool for building resilience and managing stress.

I work with adults of all ages. Many clients seek my support for issues such as depression, anxiety, attention difficulties, behavioral concerns, eating disorders, body image struggles, and navigating life transitions. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults, and I’m particularly attuned to the unique challenges they face as they strive toward independence and search for their identities—often in the midst of shifting family dynamics.

Education & Background

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern University and a Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration.

My career path has been multifaceted, shaped by my deep passion for working with young people. It all started when I volunteered as an undergraduate at the Warming House Youth Center in Wilmette. After graduating, I became the Associate Director of the center and eventually served as the Executive Director for 16 years. During this time, I also became a certified yoga instructor, teaching yoga for over a decade on the North Shore and leading yoga retreats at premier spas in Arizona.

I’ve been in private practice since 2009, where I continue to support individuals and families in a meaningful and fulfilling way.
